Sammy von Sankt

Sammy Von Sankt is an exceptionally handsome 17-month old shepherd with tons of potential in the hands of a loving, committed owner.  Rumor has it that Sammy comes from a long line of  pedigreed shepherds and was rescued from a neglectful breeder, thereafter being shifted among a few  homes and eventually landing in a local shelter.  Resilient and intelligent, Sammy has gone with the flow, displaying an enthusiasm and temperament that every shepherd owner craves.  Friendly and housebroken, Sammy loves children even more than he likes playing with balls.  He is socialized with other dogs, even living with a  small, 25-pound dog in the past (though was fed separately, as is wise).  He is ready and eager to graduate from puppyhood by learning his manners on the leash and in the house.  Because of his working breed and intelligence level, he will respond quickly to basic training and a set of boundaries.  Once that is accomplished, people will gape in awe when Sammy joins you at Coffee Bean & Tea or accompanies you through Home Depot (wondering where the treat counter is).  And his ears?  Well, the story goes that, when God makes Shepherds, occasionally there is one so special that He turns down the ear to remember it.  Both of Sammy’s ears are down, which tells you that he is really special – and he needs a special home to bring out the best in him.  (No cats, please)
